The second half of the NFC Championship game is set to kick off at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Los Angeles Rams narrowly trail the New Orleans Saints 13-10. Here’s a brief recap of the scoring from the first 30 minutes: The Saints got on the board early with a Wil Lutz field goal (from 37 yards out) on the very first drive Sean Mannion Jersey , making it 3-0 New Orleans. On the ensuing drive, a 3rd and 7 pass from Jared Goff to Todd Gurley was intercepted right outside the red zone. Lutz converted on a 29 yard-er to make it 6-0 Saints. Following a 3-play Jamon Brown Jersey , 2-yard drive by the Rams, the Saints marched 68 yards on 8 plays for a touchdown (Drew Brees to Garrett Griffin - 5 yards). 13-0 SaintsThe Rams put together a nice drive - to include a Johnny Hekker fake punt - that ended with a Greg Zuerlein field goal with just under 7 minutes to play in the second quarter. 13-3 Saints with 6:50 left in Q2Jared Goff drops a 36-yard dime to Brandin Cooks Rob Havenstein Jersey , lining up Todd Gurley with 0:23 left in the half. Momentum has definitely swung in the Rams direction. Saints lead 13-10Rams ball to start the second!Week 5 approval poll: LA Rams HC Sean McVay Not including preseason games (and really.... who does?) Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay has coached 21 games since being hired last January. What he has been able to do in that time continually impresses anyone who has been paying attention.Rams fans have suffered through the likes of Scott Linehan, Steve Spagnuolo Tyler Higbee Jersey , and Jeff Fisher for years... McVay seems too good to be true. But yet here we are... with a coaching star in the making and a Super Bowl contender at hand.McVay has taken a perpetually underachieving Rams team and created something special - but he isn’t beyond reproach. There are still times where Todd Gurley isn’t utilized as often in the run game and occasions where you can clearly tell that McVay is an inexperienced coach.Does the good outweigh the bad? Absolutely! Should we be enjoying this 4-0 start? Hell yea!But we should still note the few discrepancies that we see at this point in McVay’s career lest we fall prey to stagnation.
